RUTH M. SINGER Ruth M. Singer, 74, of Waco, died Saturday, May 4, 2002 at a local hospital. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 8, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Monsignor Mark Deering and Rev. Melvin Dornak officiating. Services are under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Bosque. Ms. Singer was born on April 9, 1928 in Ashland, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Texas in Austin. She had been a resident of Waco for over 35 years. She retired from the V.A. Regional Office in Waco and later worked the V.A. Regional Credit Union. Ms. Singer was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and The League of Women Voters. She was also active as a volunteer in various community organizations. She was preceded in death by one son, Chris Singer, in 1984. She will be missed by her many friends and family. Survivors include two daughters, Mary E. Riley and husband Edgar of Waco and Katherine Singer-Browne and husband Evan of Dallas; four sons, Joe Singer and wife Jana of Waco, Andy Singer of Fort Worth, Bob Singer of Waco and Tom Singer of Waco; and four grandchildren, Chase Singer, Elizabeth and Jonas Riley and Kendel Singer-Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the League of Women Voters or Friends For Life. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
