Ruth Mandel February 25, 1924 - June 17, 2015 Ruth Mandel of Waco passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Richard Rust officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Ruth was born February 25, 1924, in Marlin, Texas, to Rudolph and Ida Engelke Lange. She was a very loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and her lemon pies were wonderful. Ruth was a member of First Evangelical Church, and enjoyed all activities at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman Mandel, son-in-law, Royce Reames sisters, Edna Davenport, Alice Kuehn and Bernice Schroeder, and brother Bill Lange. She is survived by daughter, Edith Reames, of Houston, TX, son, Wayne Mandel and wife, Kris Stabler of St. Louis, MO; grandson Jason Reames and wife, Susan, of Cypress, TX; great grandson, Mason Reames, great granddaughter, Makenzie Reames; sisters, Esther Manthei, Dorothy Reeves, and Eileen Vanouse; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to First Evangelical Church of Waco.
