Ruth Reams Welter

WELTER, RUTH Ruth Reams Welter, age 88 of China Spring passed away quietly at her home Friday, December 20, 2003. Graveside services will be 10am Wednesday, December 24 at Oakwood Cemetery with the Spiritual Assemble of the Baha’is of Waco officiating. Ruth was born to Sam and Idabelle Harrell October 6, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois. She married Matthew J. Welter in 1939. They lived most of their married life in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin where they raised four children. Ruth moved to China Spring thirteen years ago with her youngest son and his family and enjoyed China Spring and the Waco area very much. Ruth appreciated her friends here, particularly the Khozein and Haghjoo families, the Phillipson and Seirafi Families and dear Akiko Schaal. She dearly loved her wonderful caregiver, Pamela O’Dell, who has become, and will always be, a part of the family now. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew J. Welter and her granddaughter, Emma Welter. She is survived by son, Matthew and wife, Beverly of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; daughter, Diana Lee Lusignan and husband, Richard of Huntington Beach, California; son, Tom of Kaneohe, Hawaii; and son, Tim Welter and wife, Jo of China Spring; and by grandchildren, Susan, Jessica, Paul, Gus and Max; and great-grandchildren, Kaely and DyLan.
