DOCKERY, S. Q. S. Q. Dockery, 91 of Waco, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 3:30pm Thursday, December 30 at Rosemound Cemetery with the Rev. Drew Wilson officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2:30pm Thursday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mr. Dockery was born in Purdon, Texas June 25, 1913 to Annie M. and Joseph Franklin Dockery. He grew up in Chandler, Texas and moved to Waco in 1941. He married Jocelyn “Jo” Adams June 19, 1937. She preceded him in death September 20, 2004; they were married for 67 years. He was employed with William Cameron Company for 37 years. He was a longtime member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters Sharla Woodruff and husband, Eugene of Dallas and Deborah Hail and husband, Dennis of Austin; son, David Dockery and wife, Darlene of Waco; grandchildren, Denise Morgan, Phil Woodruff, Greg Woodruff, Michael Hail, and Lindsay Hail; nine great grandchildren; and sisters, Bertha Cody of San Antonio, Beatrice Norwood of Waco, and Josephine Cowan of Daingerfield, Texas. Pallbearers will be Kenny Morgan, Phil Woodruff, Greg Woodruff, Kris Morgan, Kory Morgan and Michael Hail. Memorials may be made to Park Lake Drive Baptist Church or Gideons International or favorite charity.
