Sam Jack McGlasson Jr. December 7, 1951 January 21, 2009 Sam Jack McGlasson, Jr., passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, at St. Paul Episcopal Church with Rev. Chuck Treadwell officiating. Jack was born in Waco to the late Sam Jack McGlasson, Sr., and Elizabeth Spark McGlasson. In 1982 he moved to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. It was there he met his wife Robertline Keliihananui McGlasson. They were later married in 1995 after a 13-year courtship. Both of his parents attended the beautiful Hawaiian wedding on the beach in Keaukaha, HI, where they lived for over 15 years. Jack fell in love with Hawaii, because of the "Spirit of Aloha," how everyone treated you as "Ohana" family. Even though Jack was born a Texan, his heart and soul were all Hawaiian. He would help rebuild computers for children, cook for the elderly people in his condo complex, and treated his extended family as his own. He always knew how to make us laugh talking like "Donald Duck." Hawaii was home for Jack for 24 years. He got his degree in agriculture appraising from the University of Hawaii. Jack is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Robertline Keliihananui McGlasson; brother, Richard McGlasson; sister, Lizanne and husband, James Hendrix; 4 Hanai daughters; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; Auntie Neva Herring of Waco; uncles, Jack Vanszant of Waco, and Buddy Sparks; and cousin, Janet Bass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Freeman Center, P.O. Box 128, Waco TX 76703, with the designation for Youth. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our "Memorial Guestbook" at www.WilkirsonHatchBailey.com.
