Sandra Collier Walts

Sandra “Sandy” Walts passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, following a sudden illness. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Huff officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Sandy was born December 29, 1954, in Waco, Texas, to Leland Gene Collier and Ray Ann Parks Collier. She graduated from University High School in 1973, and served as Executive Director at Leland Collier Electric Company for 38 years. She enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, gardening, and doting on her two daughters and her two grandchildren whom were the light and love of her life. Sandy was a giving, loving person who would go out of her way to help anyone in need. She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and lived according to His grace. She was preceded in death by her father, Leland Gene Collier, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Joe Walts; mother, Ray Ann Collier; daughters, Carly King and Kaci Lerma and husband, Fred; sister, Cynthia Calao; brothers, Buddy Collier and wife, Janice, and Robert Ray Collier; grandchildren, Madisyn Adoline and Jackson Lee Lerma; and stepchildren, Justin Walts, Jaycie Walts, and Jaymie Walts Margiotta and husband, Kyle.
