Sherie S. Kidd, 65, of Winnebago, Illinois, passed away on April 27, 2021, at OSF St. Anthony Hospital. Cremations rights will be accorded, and family services will take place at the Rosemound Cemetery in Waco at 1:00 p.m., Saturday May 8. She was born on January 11, 1956 in Waco, Texas, to Ernest and Eleanor Farr Kidd, Jr. Sherie spent most of her life in Waco. She graduated from University High School and then went on to McLennan Community College where she earned her Associates degree. Sherie taught Physical Education at Savoy Elementary School and Hubbard High School, where she was also a librarian. She moved to Illinois in 2012 and worked as a librarian for the Winnebago Public Library. Sherie had a strong faith in God and lived for her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family. She was a great friend to many and a loving mother and grandmother. Sherie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eleanor. Sherie is survived by her daughter, Daneille Nantz and husband, Nathan; her son, Nicholas Newsom; her grandson, Ayden Scott; step grandchildren, Jayden Nantz and Kazdyn Nantz; her brother, Jerry Kidd and wife, Donna; her sister, Lynette Kidd; and her nieces and nephews, Matt, Katie, Sherie Lynn, Chris, Lacey, and Josh.
