Shuford Lee Farmer January 31, 1918 - October 15, 2012 Shuford Lee Farmer of Waco passed away Monday, October 15, 2012. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 18, at First Baptist Church of Waco with Dr. Scott Walker and Dr. Randall Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Shuford was born January 31, 1918, in Waco to Charles Shuford and Emily Louise Farmer. He graduated from Baylor and was a licensed architect in the state of Texas and many other states. He was a member of the AIA, the Texas Board of Architects and NCRB. He attended First Baptist Church of Waco. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Louise Hughes and husband, Bob, and Beryl Taylor and husband, Bob. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Durelle Farmer of Waco; daughter, Kathy Diehl and husband, Tom; sisters-in-law, Sue McBrayer and husband, Tom, and Jane Thomas and husband, Aaron; brother-in-law, Basil Thomson and wife, Margaret; nieces, Susan Beggs and husband, Dick, Holly Hubbell and husband, Kirk, Patti Herbert, and Heather Minton and husband, Mark; nephews, Tim Taylor and wife, Georgia, Lloyd Thomas and wife, Amy, Pat Ekiss and wife, Diane, Mark Thomas and wife, Jan, Glenn Thomas, Robert Thomson, Chris Rowan and wife, Brittany, and Matt Rowan and wife, Laurie; and cousins, Raymond Lee Montgomery and wife, Jan, and Rosemary Piper and husband, Ray; and other dear family and friends.
