Stacey Yvette Scarborough

April 12, 1965 — September 14, 2023

Stacey Yvette Scarborough, 58, of Waco, Texas, peacefully passed away September 14, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was a cherished daughter, devoted mother, and faithful friend.


In honor of Stacey's life and the impact she made, a visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2023, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in the Garden Room. The following day, a solemn Graveside Service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco. Stacey’s dear friend of many years, the Honorable Judge Jeffery Manske will be officiating the graveside service. These gatherings will provide an opportunity for loved ones to come together, to share stories, and to honor the legacy of a wonderful daughter, mother, and friend.


Stacey was born April 12, 1965, in Waco, Texas, to Carol and the late James "Jim" William Scarborough. She was kind, humble and caring throughout her life. Her gentle spirit and genuine compassion touched the hearts of all who knew her. She approached every interaction with grace and gratitude, recognizing the divine presence in each individual she encountered. Stacey graduated from Jefferson Moore High School in 1983 and later married William Wade Koerth in 1997 in Waco, and shortly after they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Natalie Carol Koerth. Stacey later embarked on a fulfilling career, serving as the owner of U-Swirl Frozen Yogurt for ten years.


Beyond her professional pursuits, Stacey found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time with her two dogs, watching ‘I Love Lucy’, traveling, and listening to Elvis Presley. Stacey’s adventurous spirit and open heart created lasting memories.


Her surviving loved ones are her daughter, Natalie Carol Koerth; her mother, Carol Scarborough and special friend, Gary Roberts; her uncle, Mitchell Jantz and wife Brenda; cousins, Tamara and husband Dan Holey ll, and their daughter Scarlett.


Honorary Pallbearers include, Dan Holey ll, Mitchell Jantz, William Wade Koerth, Jeff Manske, Arthur Mosley, and Kim Woodliff.


May we find solace in the knowledge that Stacey's spirit lives on, forever guiding and inspiring us. Let us remember her with humility, gratitude, and a commitment to carry on her legacy of love and compassion.
