Stella Vera Looper February 14, 1917 - October 16, 2006 Stella Vera Looper of Woodway, passed away Monday, October 16, 2006 at Regent Care Center. Graveside Services will be at 2 PM Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Chillicothe Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 -7 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Vera was born February 14, 1917 in Comanche, OK to Charlie Green and Maud Green. Vera earned a BA and an MA from North Texas State University, where she did additional graduate work. She taught at Arlington and Grapevine Public Schools. Vera was a lifelong Church of Christ member. She attended Crestview Church of Christ in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John W. Looper and grandson, John C. Looper. She is survived by her son, Dr. Travis Looper and wife, Jo Ann of Waco, TX; her granddaughter, Ruth Ann Pieri and husband, Parker of Woodway, TX; two great-grand children and several nieces and nephews.
