STEPHEN HERNANDEZ, 16, of West died Saturday, September 29, 2001. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Rev. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 6:00 PM Monday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, 1124 Washington Ave. Stephen was born January 22, 1985 in Waco. He was a junior at LaVega High School and had also attended schools in Axtell and Connally. Stephen loved all sports, but had a true passion for basketball, a sport in which he excelled. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys with his Grandpa Boelter. His father, Jesse Hernandez, preceded him in death in 1986. Survivors include his parents Gail and Larry Ondrej of West; his grandparents: Wilfred and Willie Mae Boelter of Bellmead and Manuel and Consuela Hernandez of Bellmead; his sister Catherine Hernandez of Waco; his brother Trey Baker of Axtell and his nephew Elijah Fajardo of Waco. Many Aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers will be David Bo Fritze, David Fritze, Rocky Fajardo, Greg Griffin, Manuel Hernandez, and Brian Lowe. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
