Born August 5, 1956, to Diane and Jim Simons, Stewart's life journey was marked by a deep connection to his roots and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Growing up on a dairy farm, Stewart actively contributed to its day-to-day operations, forging a profound bond with the land and the rhythms of rural life. This upbringing endowed him with a unique gift for storytelling, inspired by the many colorful experiences and characters he encountered on the farm. His childhood on the dairy farm etched memories into his soul, and he became a guardian of these moments, preserving them through his captivating narratives.

Throughout most of his adult life, Stewart worked as a dedicated salesman for Central Transportation. This career path provided him with remarkable opportunities to interact with some of Waco and the surrounding areas’ most intriguing and influential individuals. From professional football players to collegiate coaches, university faculty to even a former President of the United States, Stewart navigated diverse circles with grace and charm. While these encounters left an indelible mark on him, it was the relationships he forged within the Central Transportation organization that held the truest place in his heart.

Stewart's passions extended beyond the farm and the sales office. He was an ardent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas A&M fighting Aggies, wearing his loyalty proudly and uniting with fellow fans through the highs and lows of each season. Equally, he found immense joy in witnessing his grandsons, Robert Alan, Kincade, and Schaefer, and his granddaughter, Charlotte, thrive in their pursuits, and he treasured the annual tradition of hosting a grand fourth of July celebration—a time for family, friends, and fireworks.

Stewart was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Simons, and his father, Jim Simons.
