Sue Graves Barton Bigham August 16, 1930 April 3, 2009 Sue Bigham, daughter of Susan Frances Graves Barton and James William Barton of Georgetown, Kentucky was born August 16th, 1930 in Georgetown, KY. She was taken from us April 3rd, 2009. A memorial service will be held at Central Christian Church on Tuesday, April 7th at 11:00 a.m. with Richard Roland and Tommy Potter residing. Visitation will be at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. on Monday evening, April 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. Sue graduated from Garth High School in Georgetown, KY and attended Georgetown College before her marriage to Truman C. Bigham in 1950. Sue was a member of Central Christian Church and a founding member of Lakewood Christian Church. She was a fourth generation member of the Christian Church. Sue attended the Friendship Sunday School class of Central Christian Church. At college in Kentucky, she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and was First Violinist in the college orchestra. In Waco, Sue was a member of Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Colonial Dames, Waco Alumnae Pan-Hellenic Association, a past member of the Henry Downs chapter of D.A. R., and chapter CD of the P.E. O. She served on the board of the Latin American Christian Center and was on the board of East Terrace Historical Home. When her children were in elementary school, she served on the P.T. A. boards and spent many years as a Girl Scout leader. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Truman C. Bigham, two daughters, Jan Murray and Susan Bigham, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Jan and Michael Murray and daughter Lindsey reside in San Antonio, Texas. Susan Bigham resides in Denver, CO. and children Christopher Harclerode, Katherine Kendall Harclerode, and Brian Harclerode are attending college in Houston TX., Tulsa, OK., and Denver, CO, respectively. She is also survived by her two great grandchildren Collin Murray and Brittney Harclerode and her best friend, Betty Graves of Georgetown, KY who was her friend for 75 years. Honorary pallbearers are Byron Sherouse from San Antonio, TX., Dr.Horace Hambrick of Georgetown, KY., Marvin Graves of Georgetown KY., Bill Dyess , Dick Taylor, and Walt Winters of Waco, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Christian Church.
