SUE WEDEMEYER Sue Wedemeyer, 73, of Lorena passed away Saturday, October 30, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2004, at 2:30 p.m., at Cottonwood Baptist Church with Dr. Buddy Sipe officiating. Burial will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home at 6101 Bosque Blvd. Sue was born in Hubbard, TX on February 10, 1931 to David and Susie Lillard. She attended school in Rosenthal and was a graduate of Waco High School, class of 1949. She married Buddy Wedemeyer in November of 1949, he preceded her in death in 1980. She was an employee of Citizens National Bank for 15 years. She owned Stone & Stone Employment Agency, with branches in Temple and Waco. She later worked for Snelling & Snelling Employment Agency and retired in 2000. Sue was a long-time member of Cottonwood Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher, nursery leader, youth leader, and choir member, along with many other church activities. She was a member of American Business Women’s Association, Toast Masters, and secretary of Levi Water Supply Corporation for 31 years. She was a fun loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her daughter Phyllis Trice, husband Rex, her son Mike Wedemeyer, wife Mari, all of Lorena. Grandchildren, Drs. Michelle Manning, husband Jeff, Heather Trice, Daniel Wedemeyer, and Jacob Wedemeyer. Sisters, Faye McDonald, Joy Civiletto, and Nola Oliver. Brother, Ray Lillard, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Charles Hansen, Vernon Hansen, Jennings Nehring, Daniel Wedemeyer, Jacob Wedemeyer, and Doug Wedemeyer. Honorary pallbearers will be James Braun, Ray Kraemer, Art Hansen, Kerry Hansen, Rod Oliver, and Greg Oliver. Memorials may be made to Cottonwood Baptist Building Fund.
