Susan Kendrick

August 25, 1950 — January 6, 2007

Susan was born August 25, 1950 in Waco, Texas and passed away January 6, 2007 after a 2 year battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco. Susan graduated from Beaumont High School and completed degrees from Baylor University, and North Texas State University. Her passion was exhibited in her dedication as a law librarian at Baylor Law School for 35 years. Recently, Baylor honored Susan with the Susan Kendrick/Della Geyer Reading Room in the Baylor Law Library. Susan was also actively involved at Columbus Avenue in choir, handbells, sign language for WCC, adult mission trips, and Children’s Sunday School. She was also actively involved in the Waco Community Band, Altrusa and Habitat for Humanity. Susan is survived by her parents, Mary Ann Spencer and Charles Evans Kendrick; her brother Thomas Evans Kendrick and wife Cheryl; her brother Richard Spencer Kendrick and wife Mary Susan; 3 nieces and 2 nephews; Baylor Law Library family; and Naomi Mangum Hines. She was preceded in death by her sister Kate Kendrick and her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. R T Spencer, Mr. Jim Kendrick, and Mr. & Mrs. Roger Powell.
