GARNER, SUSIE HERRIN Susie Herrin Garner, 88, formerly of Waco, died Thursday, September 26, 2002 in Plano. Services will be held at 11:30am Monday, September 30 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. W. Bryan Thornburg officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 2-4pm Sunday, September 29 at the funeral home. Mrs. Garner was born January 29, 1914 in Flint, Texas. She was reared and educated in Waco. She married Dennis Herman Garner; he preceded her in death in 1960. She worked at General Tire and Rubber Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1976. Mrs. Garner was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waco. Survivors include daughters, Alma LaVaughn Bonnie Ewing of Dallas and Judy C. Hawthorne and husband, Ernest of Plano, son, Roy E. Garner and wife, Fran of Waco, grandchildren, Georgia Faircloth, Roy Glynn Garner, Barbara Kolle, Katherine Garner, Brenda Snitzer, Cynthia Gayle David, Gary E. Hawthorne and Beverly D. Ewing, 17 great grandchildren, sister, Johnnie Mae Rowton of Fort Worth, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tommy Athey, Brad Kolle, David Snitzer, Gary Hawthorne, Randy David, and Bruce Huffhines. Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 9400 N.
