Suzanne Meade

Suzanne Meade September 15, 1951 – February 5, 2006 Suzanne Meade passed away Sunday, February 5, 2006. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with Rev. Barry Camp officiating. Suzanne was born September 15, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to John J. Brown and Janey Lou Brown. Suzanne graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1968 and from the University of Oklahoma in 1972. She was a teacher for over 32 years at Viking Hills Elementary School in Waco. Suzanne had a great enthusiasm for life and for her students at her school. She has been named Viking Hills Teacher of the Year and was the first recipient of the Golden Apple Award for the 2005 – 2006 school year. Suzanne had a tremendous love for her family, the outdoors and especially for her grandson. She raised “racing pigeons” and loved them with a passion, training them to be released at weddings. She was preceded in death by her father John J. Brown. She is survived by husband, C. Lee Meade Jr., of Waco; sons, Sam Morrison of Los Angeles, California and Matt Morrison and wife, Leigh Ellen of Waco; grandson, William Dean Morrison of Waco; mother, Janey Lou Swaim and husband, Jack of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Janey Lou Winfrey of Norman, Oklahoma; aunt, Margell Robertson Meade of Hot Springs, Arkansas and loving former mother-in-law, Deanne Morrison of Waco, Texas.
