Suzanne Smith-Newman February 15, 1946 – April 6, 2007 Suzanne Suzie Newman lost her courageous fight for life on April 6, 2007, at Hillcrest Hospital. The family invites you to visitation at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey on Sunday, April 8, 2007 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Graveside service will be on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Barrett and Gwenda L. Smith of Waco. She is survived by two daughters, DeAnn Engholm and Jennifer Young and son-in-law Brandon; one sister, Gwenette Wetzel and brother-in-law, Jim; three grandchildren, Hayes and Max Engholm and Ryker Young; two nieces, Holli Hopkins and Heather McNair and husband, Rock. She had two great-nieces and one great-nephew, Hollyn, Mabry, and Karter McNair. Suzanne was a wonderful and loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
