OBITUARY FOR SYBIL H. NELSON Sybil H. Nelson, 80, of Waco, passed away June 26, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be at 11:30 A.M. Friday, June 28, 2002 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, Chapel, 1124 Washington, with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will be at Gholson Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Nelson was born November 16, 1921 in Bronte, Tx to Oscar and Virgie Heidel. She lived most of her life in Waco. She worked for many years in the insurance business and most recently with Archie Hoppenstein. She married Willie E. Nelson November 23, 1940 in San Antonio. He preceded her in death November 29, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grand- daughter, Melissa Burns, and a brother and a sister. Survivors: Daughter, Sue Rich and husband Jim; son, Wayne Nelson and wife Wendy; five grandchildren: Mike Roberts, Jimmy Rich, Brian Roberts, Larry Rich and Robyn Mills; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sister, Mildred Thomason; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Tony Jezek, Jimmy Rich, Brian Roberts, Jimmy Dixon, Keith Mills, and Michael Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers: Archie Hoppenstein, Dr. Wayne Falcone and Dr. Richard Kleiman. Memorials may be made to the Gholson Cemetery Assoc or the American Cancer Society.
