It is with deep sorrow that the family of Taylor Jefferson Williams, 40, of Waco, announce his passing on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in his home.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Drew Greenway officiating. A gathering for family and friends will follow from 4-5 p.m. in the Garden Room at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas.
Taylor was born November 6, 1982 in Waco to Noel Douglas Williams, Jr. and Martha Rutledge Williams, of Beaumont. He grew up in Kerrville before moving to Waco where he played Varsity football for four years and graduated from Midway High School. Later, he attended the Texas Culinary Academy in Austin where he found a passion for cooking. Some of his most fond memories were bird hunting in south Texas. Taylor loved spending time with his three children, Christian, Clayton and Caitlynn. He enjoyed watching sports and playing golf with his family and friends, and was an avid collector of fountain pens.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Noel Douglas Williams Sr. and Elta Williams; and grandparents, Albert and Hazel Rutledge, all of Beaumont, Texas.
He will be dearly missed by his parents, Noel Douglas Williams, Jr. and Martha Rutledge Williams; his wife, Serena Williams and their children, Christian, Clayton and Caitlynn Williams; brother, Noel Williams, III, wife, Kathryn and niece Caroline; brother, Preston Williams and wife, Amy and nephew, Nathan and niece, Callie; as well as many family members and longtime friends.
