Thelma L Hallmark

Thelma Louise Hallmark, 98, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, with her family by her side at Grand Brook Assisted Living in Grapevine. Graveside services will be held at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, September 16, at 10:30 a.m.

Thelma was born to the late Claude and Lucille Etchison on July 3, 1924, in Huntington Park, California. Thelma graduated from La Vega High School and Four C Business College with a degree in business. She was employed at the Texas Highway Department in Waco for over fifteen years, but her greatest joy was her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She married the late Payne N. Hallmark, the love of her life, on September 21, 1945. They lived together in Waco for 67 years.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Payne N. Hallmark; daughter, Vicki Hallmark Bueno; and brother, Claude V. Etchison, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Hallmark and wife, Sandra, of Colleyville; son-in-law, Helio Bueno, of Dallas; grandchildren, April Hallmark and husband, Dan, Kelli Hallmark, and Jeremy Bueno; and numerous nieces and nephews.
