THEODORE KHOURY Theodore Khoury, age 73 of Waco died Monday, February 9, 2004 at a local nursing home. A memorial service will be held at 11am Thursday, February 12 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Frank Mangum officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, February 11 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mr. Khoury was born in Waco on July 26, 1930. He entered the family business after graduating from Waco High School in 1948. He was owner with Ernest Khoury of Khoury, Inc., manufacturers of architectural woodwork. An ardent body builder, Theodore won the title of Mr. Texas, Mr. Southwest and Mr. Golden Coast and third runner up in Jr. Mr. America held in Oakland, California. He was on the cover of Strength and Health Magazine in May of 1953. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Julia Elizabeth Khoury of Waco; sons, Gregory Khoury of Waco, Jeffery Khoury and wife, Lisa of West, and Michael Robert Khoury and wife, Dawn of Waco; four grandchildren; five step grandchildren; sister, Lillian Davidson and husband, Cecil of Waco; brothers, Ernest Khoury and wife, Lily, Fred Khoury and wife, Betty, and Rollin Khoury and wife, Loraine all of Waco and five nieces and four nephews. The family wishes to thank the nurses, friends and staff at Ridgecrest Nursing Home, especially Fern Lee, Sasha, and Johnny for the wonderful care provided Theodore.
