Thomas Clyde Reedy, Jr. July 15, 1926 - March 19, 2016 Thomas Clyde Reedy, Jr., 89, of Waco died Saturday, March 19, 2016, in Denton, Texas. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon - 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Clyde was born July 15, 1926, in Paris, Texas, to Clyde Reedy, Sr., and Grace Isabel Lynch. He graduated from Waco High School in 1943, and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1944. He was wounded in action in the Battle of Okinawa, and was stationed in China after the war until his discharge in 1946. In 1947 he married Mary Ann Steele. She died in 1987. In 1989 he married Marguerite J. Jones. He was an electrician and a member of IBEW Local 72 from 1947 until his retirement in 1987. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dora Fulton, Rose Wooden, and Susan Murray; his wife, Mary Ann Reedy; and his daughter, Rebecca Poe. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite J. Reedy; three sons, Tom Reedy and wife, Brenda, of Denton, James Reedy and wife, Marlene, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, and Bill Reedy of Oceanside, California; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
