THOMAS MAY Thomas L. “Tom” May, 75, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held 11:00AM, Monday, June 3 at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Liebert Armour officiating. The family will be receiving friends at his residence. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY, 1124 Washington Avenue. Mr. May was born January 14, 1927 in Elm Mott, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was married to Wanda M. Watkins on August 6, 1943. She preceded him in death in October 1991. He was also preceded in death by a son Jimmy May. Tom retired from General Tire & Rubber Company in 1982 after 37 years of service. He also retired as a Reserve Deputy with the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office. Survivors: 2 daughters, Suzann Collier & Kathy May both of Lacy Lakeview; 2 sons, Thomas Lee “Bubba” May, Jr. of Axtell and David May of McGregor; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Wilson of Mart; several nieces & nephews and a host of friends. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and golfing buddies. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
