Thomas Brian Simon August 19, 1959 - January 12, 2010 Thomas Tommy Brian Simon, 50, of Austin passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14, at Holy Cross Cemetery with the Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. A memorial service will also be held at the Austin State Supported Living Center at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010. Tommy was born August 19, 1959 in Waco, Texas to J. Fred Simon, Jr. and Elizabeth Briscoe Simon. He was a resident of the Austin State Supportive Living Center. He brought so much inspiration and joy to the staff that cared for him, and received so much love in return. Tommy participated in several activities while there and was especially touched by the musical programs. The Simon Family would like to thank the dedicated staff at the center who watched over "our special little boy". He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Diane Ferguson and husband, Bob, of Waco, and Susan Poulter and husband, John, of Georgia; his brothers, Fred Simon, III of Hewitt; Mark B. Simon of Waco; Michael Simon and wife, Betsy of Waco and Ralph Simon and wife, Patti of Round Rock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
