From 1952 to 1959, Victor lived at the Methodist Children's Home in Waco, Texas, where he was remembered for his sense of humor and meticulous ways. He left Waco and stayed in Houston briefly before joining the U. S. Army in 1960. He was stationed in Germany, where he was trained as a radar operator. Upon discharge, he returned to Waco and began his career as a drywall mechanic. Victor took great personal pride in his abilities, had a strong work ethic, and was recognized in the Waco Tribune. In 1989, he married the love of his life, Frances Marion Quilty, who preceded him in death in 2007. He looked forward to dancing with Frances in Heaven. For the past two years Victor was the most happy riding his motorcycle. Those who knew him will always remember his kind, friendly disposition, his bright-eyed and bushy-tailed approach to life, and his beautiful smile. He was a true joy to those who cared for and loved him. Victor is survived by his stepdaughters, Cathy Quilty and Cindy Muise and husband, David; stepson, Danny Quilty and wife, Pat; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Stovall Bruns and husband, Delbert; and good friend, Teena Boswell.
