Tim Musselman

June 2, 1948 — February 25, 2025

Waco

Timothy “Tim” Preston Musselman went home to his Lord and Savior and to be with his son, Tim C. Musselman, on February 25, 2025, at the age of 76.

A remembrance of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Top Hand Cowboy Church in Valley Mills, Texas.

Tim was born June 2, 1948, in San Jose, CA, two hours after his twin brother, Ted, to Lewis “Pat” and Natalie (Scimeca) Musselman. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in San Jose, CA, in 1966. On November 25, 1967, he married Nancy (Waterman) before entering the Army Reserves. Tim graduated from San Jose State University, where he eventually served as president of the Alumni Association.

Throughout his life, Tim explored many careers, including real estate, architecture, and even being a stay-at-home dad. He spent many years in computer marketing for several startups, and after retiring from the 9-5 world in his forties, he did consulting work all over the world. A jack of all trades, Tim enjoyed numerous hobbies, including being a scuba diving instructor, racing sailboats and cars, practicing yoga/tai-chi, photography, flying gliders, playing multiple instruments, and, most recently, blacksmithing, knife making, and competitive shooting.

A lifelong volunteer, Tim was involved in many organizations, including serving as president and secretary of the Los Gatos Lions Club and, most recently, as secretary of the Waco Founders Lions Club. In 2019, Tim, Nancy, and their daughter, Katheryn, moved to Crawford, TX, and settled onto what is now called the Lazy M Ranch. He greatly enjoyed puttering around the property on his side-by-side and spending time with his family. Tim enthusiastically delved into his love of the Lord and his extended family at Top Hand Cowboy Church, even completing a theology course at Baylor University.

Tim had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy, of Crawford, TX; his daughter, Katheryn, and son-in-law, Jacob Harvey, of Crawford, TX; and his grandson, Robert Harvey. He is also survived by his twin brother, Ted, and sister-in-law, Virginia Musselman, of Woodway, TX; his nephew, Ted, and wife, Staci Musselman, of McGregor, TX, and their children, Zach and Elise Musselman, Christian Musselman, and Drew and Yoci Musselman; his niece, Christine, and husband, Richard Hoover, of Woodway, TX, and their children, Shea and Caleb Buchta, Justin Musselman, and Eli Musselman; his niece, Lorelei, and husband, Jeff Russell, of Woodway, TX, and their children, Samantha Burzynski and Jacob Burzynski. Additionally, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Ovalle, of Roseville, CA, and her children, Heather and Mike Kocunik, Gina Ovalle, and Joe Ovalle; his brother-in-law, John, and wife, Susie Waterman, of Atascadero, CA, and their children, Steve Waterman, Shane and Leah Waterman, and Spencer Waterman. Tim is also survived by countless other relatives and friends.

The family invites you to leave a message or memory of Tim in his “Memorial Guestbook” at www.WHBfamily.com.
