Tomislav C. Matich

MATICH, TOM Tom C. Matich, 69 of Waco, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2005 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Memorial services will be at 1pm Wednesday, February 2 at Peace Lutheran Church located at 9301 Panther Way in Hewitt, Texas with the Rev. Francis Mennenga officiating. Mr. Matich was born November 26, 1935 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He attended the University of Belgrade and went on to become an engineer. He later moved to France and became a translator in seven different languages. He also served in the foreign army. He enjoyed painting and had incredible talent. He was a professional soccer player, coach and fan. He was an avid reader and loved to share the wisdom he acquired throughout his life. He came to the United States and married Mary Ann Baich in 1968, and had three children. Survivors include children, Michael Matich and wife Beth, Nicole Sincerney and husband Darrell and Natasha Guerrero and husband Rolando; grandchildren, Ian, Ella, Nicholas, Jenafer, Kalynn, Draven, Colton, Deuce, and a new one on the way; niece, Melloney and her son, Nicolai; special friends, Dr. Pat and Gail Pryor, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Bratkovich, Mr. and Mrs. Rasim Kalic and Mr. and Mrs. Zoran Vlajnic; and godfather, Mr. Pete Stojanovich of Las Vegas.
