EVANS, VICTOR Retired Air Force Tech Sgt. Victor Maxwell Evans, Sr., Vic 66 of Waco died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at a Temple hospital. Services will be held at 11:30am Tuesday, July 1 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North with military honors. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8pm Monday, June 30 at the funeral home. Victor Maxwell Evans, Sr. was the oldest child born to Frank and Lillian Evans, December 5, 1936 in Greenwich, Connecticut. Vic was a graduate of Greenwich High School and pursued his college education at New York University and McLennan Community College. He served in the United States Air Force and retired after 14 years of service. He later became a civil service employee c and p clerk, fee basis clerk and administrative assistant at the VA Medical Center and retired in 1996. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by sons, Victor M. Evans, Jr. and wife Denise of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Mark Evans and wife Corina of Waco, step-daughter, Kimberly Johnson of Duncanville; grandchildren, Contessa, Adam, Alexander, Alonzo, Sydney and William; sister, Netta Evans of Greenwich, Connecticut; brothers, Richard Evans and wife Gerri of Bridgeport, Connecticut and Robin Evans and wife Laverne of Marietta, Georgia and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the U.S.A.F. honor guard from Dyess A.F.B.
