Twila June Nall

Twila June (Sisk) Nall, age 83, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Westview Manor in McGregor, Texas. Services will be 6:00 PM, Monday, September 18 in the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation at 5:30 PM preceding the service. Twila was born on January 31, 1934 in Charleston, KY to Margaret (Houston) Sisk and Charles Claiborne Sisk. She was raised in central Florida and studied music at Stetson University before moving to Louisiana to work in the clerical field. She married Donald Allen Nall and moved to Waco, where she raised four children and was an active and devoted member of Western Heights Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School for many years. She was also an active member of the Waco Gem and Mineral Club, serving briefly as Treasurer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Martha Baisden, her brother Houston Ray Sisk, and her former husband. She is survived by a sister, Jessie M. Sisk, of Bay St. Louis, MS, and by her children, daughter Dawn Rice and husband David of Lacy Lakeview; daughter Dana Rogers of Lacy Lakeview; son David Nall and wife Colleen of Lorena; and son Doug Nall and wife Nancy of Chalk Bluff; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and dear friend from church, Bonnell Love. Twila will be remembered for her deep faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as for her giving nature, often going out of her way to help others. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Dementia Society of America.
