V. M. Cox December 13, 1925 - August 14, 2006 V. M. Cox of Waco passed away Monday, August 14, 2006. A life celebration service will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 17, at Central Christian Church with Dr. Steve Mansen officiating. The family will have a private burial. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. V. M. was born December 13, 1925 in Waco, TX to Valentine Maurice Cox and Kathleen Cox. He graduated from Waco High School and Baylor University. He worked all his adult life at R. E. Cox Co and was dearly loved by his co-workers. He provided outstanding leadership to the business community and was a faithful member of Central Christian Church where he served in many capacities. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Forrest and his sister Mary Lucylle Latham. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his son, Val Cox and Val's mother, Billie Kay Cox; his two stepsons, Ben and Bart Padar; and his daughter-in-law, Teri Cox. Also surviving are several cousins, nephews and a tremendous host of friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Waco or the charity of your choice.
