Victoria Bobbye Terry

TERRY, BOBBYE Victoria Bobbye Radke Terry, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2004 in Waco. Services will be held at 1:30pm Sunday, February 1 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Ben Disney officiating. Burial will follow at Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Bobbye was born April 3, 1913 the daughter of Edward and Lena Radke, and spent her childhood in Malone, Texas. She married James Alvis Terry in January of 1937. Together they owned and managed Terry’s Salvage for many years in downtown Waco. Alvis preceded her in death June 21, 1984. Bobbye was a devout member of the Brookview Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sister. Survivors include daughter, Vicki and husband, Joe Grissom of Fort Worth; grandson, Bryan Grissom and wife, Phyllis with great grandchild, Grant of Arlington; grandson, Brent Grissom of Arlington; and many loving nieces and nephews. Additionally, the family of Bobbye would like to send their most sincere appreciation to Mary Cooper for the help she has provided through Bobbye’s later years.
