INCARDONA, VINCENT Vincent Incardona, age 81, of Chalk Bluff passed away Sunday, March 9, 2003 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 1124 Washington Avenue. Mr. Incardona was born January 10, 1922 in New York. His family moved to Waco in 1925. He married Doris Wood on October 1, 1943 in Waco. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2000. He was a founding member of the Lone Star Playboy’s during the 30’s and 40’s. He worked at the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office for many years as a Deputy until his election to County Commissioner over Precinct #3 in which he served three consecutive terms and then retired. Survivors include daughters, Patricia Welborn and husband Jerry of Hitchcock; Jean Gage and husband Michael of Chalk Bluff; three grandchildren, Tracy Malone, Vicki McVeigh and Robert Dodd Bates and one great-grandchild, Meredith Malone.
