Virginia C. Baumhardt

BAUMHARDT, VIRGINIA C. Virginia C. Baumhardt, 84, of Waco died Monday, October 14, 2002 at her residence. Services will be held at 1:30pm Friday, October 18 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 1124 Washington Ave. with Chaplain Brian Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Thursday, October 17 at the funeral home. Mrs. Baumhardt was born November 5, 1917 in Tyler. She was reared and educated in Waco. She married Jack Coleman August 29, 1934. He preceded her in death December 10, 1947. She married Omer J. Baumhardt November 18, 1950. He passed away October 3, 1979. Mrs. Baumhardt was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hewitt. She was a member of Hamilton House and was an avid bridge player. Survivors include daughters, Virginia Swope and husband, Granville of LaCanada, California and Julia McNew of Waco, grandchildren, Granville Swope, IV and wife, Marsha, Valerie Yardumin and husband, Gary all of California, Greg McNew and wife, Lisa of Leroy, Jeff McNew and wife, Cheryl of Robinson and Ross McNew and wife, Tammy of Chalk Bluff, great grandchildren, Garrett, Casey, Lauren, Jessica, Granville,V, Andy, Matt, Mallory, Kimberly, Erin and Cole, sisters, Doris Dinkins of Fort Worth and Katie David and husband, Charles of Mart and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gregg McNew, Jeff McNew, Ross McNew, Granville Swope,III, Granville Swope, IV, John Kolinek, Warren Dinkins, and Otto Mills.
