Virginia M. Humphrey July 23, 1926 - September 30, 2013 Virginia "Jinks" Humphrey passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 30, 2013, in Waco, Texas. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Scott Rhodes officiating. Burial services will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Poplarville, Mississippi. Jinks had an amazing impact on many lives. She was known for her famous gumbo, the way she treated others and her caring Christian nature. She is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Roy S. Humphrey. Jinks is survived by her son, Michael Humphrey and wife, Bridget of Waco; granddaughters, Lori Haseloff and husband, Heath and Melissa Allaire and husband, Kyle, all of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by sisters, Sally Perry and husband, Charles Ray, Emelda Jackson and husband, J.S., Dell Cooper; and her brother, Clarence McNeese and wife, Antoinette all of Poplarville. Jinks' family would like to extend a special thank you to her Brazos Meadows Baptist bible study group, the staff at Stoney Brook Assisted Living and the Southern Care Hospice nursing staff.
