Virginia Rodgers Claflin

VIRGINIA CLAFLIN Virginia Rodgers Claflin, age 78, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2002 at her home. Virginia was born May 17, 1924 in Hershey, Nebraska to Emery and Freda Rodgers. In 1946 she married Howard Claflin of Paxton, Nebraska, who was a career U.S. Army veteran. During their career, they resided in several places at home and abroad including France, Alaska, Kentucky, and New Jersey. She was widowed in 1972, after which she relocated with her brother Ernest to Texas. Recently, she resided with her daughter, Vicki, her granddaughter, Deborah, and great granddaughter, Emma Rose, in Waco. She is survived by three daughters; Vicki M. Focarile of Waco, Linda L. Claflin of Jacksonville, Florida, and Connie S. Gallagher of Grant, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Virginia is also survived by a sister, Marie Ensign of Everett, Washington; two brothers, Ernest Rodgers of Granbury, Texas, and Bill Rodgers of Hayes Center, Nebraska; a brother-in-law, Dewitt White of Hershey, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment and graveside service will be held at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport, New Jersey.
