Vivian Franklin "Sally" Keene September 25, 1917 February 16, 2014 Vivian "Sally" Keene of Waco passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 20, at Bosqueville Cemetery. Sally was born on September 25, 1917, in Mexia, Texas. She married her husband of 65 years, Paul Keene, in 1946. They moved to Waco in 1948 and founded Waco's Bestyett Sandwiches, which is currently still in operation with Waco's Bestyett Catering. Sally was a devout Christian who dedicated much of her adult life to ministering for God through her service at Bosqueville Baptist Church. Sally thoroughly enjoyed serving her congregation through organizing meals, teaching Vacation Bible School, and leading adult and senior women's Bible classes for nearly 50 years. 1 Peter 4 provides that each person should use whatever gifts they have received to serve others and that service should be carried out with the strength God provides. Sally's ministry embodied this verse as she strived tirelessly to spread the Gospel. She was a gifted teacher, leader, and successful business owner that positively affected many lives. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her daughter, Billie Joyce Cryer. She is survived by her grandchildren, Vicky and Randall Parker of Waco; Sidney McCune of Waco; Rory and Lori Cryer of Waco; Dr. and Mrs. Michael Cryer of The Woodlands, TX; and Gayle and Phil Olsson of Ontario, Canada. Sally is also survived by her eleven great-grandchildren and her ten great-great-grandchildren.
