Born in Waco, Texas, July 6, 1956, Vicky Parker was a vibrant force in our lives, whose spirit touched everyone she encountered. Growing up in Waco, Sherman, and Ulysses, Kansas, she cultivated a sense of community and connection that would define her journey. A proud graduate of Ulysses High School in 1974, Vicky went on to earn her degree from Oklahoma Christian University in 1978, setting the stage for a life dedicated to service and excellence.
Returning to Waco after college, Vicky joined her father, Johnny Moses, at Moses Plumbing. However, it was in 1985 that she seized the opportunity to purchase her grandparents' sandwich business, transforming it into Waco's Bestyett Catering. With her husband, Randall Parker, whom she married in February 1986, Vicky built a catering company renowned for its quality and service, serving thousands of clients, including dignitaries and world leaders. Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to her clients turned each event into a memorable celebration, forging bonds that extended far beyond the dining table.
Vicky's zest for life was evident not just in her work but also in her personal adventures. She loved to travel, often organizing large group trips for family and friends to explore new destinations. These journeys were a testament to her infectious enthusiasm and the joy she found in shared experiences.
To those who knew her, Vicky was more than just a professional; she was a beacon of light. Her generosity knew no bounds-she extended her kindness to everyone, even those who may not have deserved it. Her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support as a mother will forever resonate with her son, who cherished her as the best mom anyone could ask for.
Vicky embodied professionalism, creativity, and excellence. She approached every endeavor with passion, ensuring that every detail was perfect. While she may not have sought the limelight, she truly was the light-helping her clients shine on their most important days.
As we reflect on her life, we recognize the immense void her absence leaves in our community. Vicky Parker was not just a remarkable lady; she was an inspiration, a mentor, and a beloved friend. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all, reminding us to approach life with the same enthusiasm and generosity she exemplified.
Fly high, Vicky. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
