PEARSON, JR., W.D. PETE W. D. Pete Pearson, Jr., age 84, of Lacy-Lakeview died Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at a local nursing home. Services will be 3:30PM Thursday, May 23 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Minister Leslie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Mr. Pearson was born July 2, 1917 in Waco to William David and Laura Geneta Pearson. He graduated from Waco High School. He married Theda Margaret Morgan April 23, 1938 in Waco. He was a paint contractor in Waco for 53 years. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class in the Okinawa Theater. He was a member of the Waco Rotary Downtown Club, past Mayor of Lacy-Lakeview. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a life long follower of Jesus Christ and Elder of Lacy-Lakeview Church of Christ. Son, James Dick Pearson, preceded him in death. Survivors include wife, Theda Margaret Pearson of Lacy-Lakeview; sons, W. E. Bootie Pearson of Victoria, James Lyndon Pearson of Waco, and Larry Allen Pearson of Dallas; grandchildren, Jamie, Todd, Jo Beth, Steven, Chris, David, and Laura; great grandchildren, Emily, Grant, and Lilly Anne; sister, Laura Jean Denham of Desert Springs, California; and brothers, Alec Pearson of Athens and Lyndon Penrod Pearson of Canyon Lake. Pallbearers will be Todd Pearson, Steven Pearson, Chris Pearson, David Pearson, Phil Pearson, and Larry Knutson. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Caudle and Paul Garza.
