Walter D. Miller, Jr. December 12, 1927 - January 30, 2007 Walter D. Miller, Jr. of China Spring passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 2 at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Mark Wible officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 1 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Walter was born December 12, 1927 in Axtell, to Walter Dick Miller, Sr. and Ethel Miller. Walter has been a lifelong Baptist. He served in the Air Force. He was founder of Miller Aircraft and started Waco’s first commuter airline. He was co-owner of Miller Family Steak House with his son Marion and he retired in 1995. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Willie Mae Miller, son Marion Miller, a brother, Ruben Miller and a sister, Shirley Kirk. He is survived by three sons; Tommy Miller, Johnny Miller and Larry Miller; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers; Donald, Charles, Boyd Buddy and Leslie Miller and three sisters; Fannie Jean Hahnann, Martha Murphy and Zaretha Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Family Health Center Family Practice, 1600 Providence Dr., Waco, Texas 76707 in care of Clement Milam.
