Wanda Perrill

Wanda Louise Perrill, 96, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2019, at Wesley Woods Rehabilitation and Care Center. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, Waco, Texas, with Rev. Brandon McCarroll and Matthew McCarroll officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday March 5, at Wilkirson-Hatch Bailey. Wanda was born on May 31, 1922, in Waco to Alvah and Annie Mae Shepard. She grew up in Waco and graduated from Waco High School in 1940. She married Price J. Perrill on September 4, 1943. She stayed home in Waco while her husband was stationed in China during World War II and later served in San Antonio, Texas, during the Korean War. Her life-long occupation was caring for her two daughters, Joanne and Janette. She loved spending time with her bridge club and being in a bowling league. She actually bowled a handful of perfect 300 score games. She took great pride in cooking for her family and friends and loved sewing numerous outfits for her daughters and granddaughters. She was a member at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. She is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Dorothy Rae Nowakowski. She is survived by daughters, Joanne and husband, Norman Dula, of Bedford, Texas, and Janette and husband, Ronnie Davis, of Hewitt, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Fagner of Valley Mills, Texas, and Norma and husband, David Rowland, of College Station, Texas. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members. The pallbearers will be grandsons, Kyle Davis and Mike Dula; and nephews, Tommy Nowakowski, Jeff Nowakowski, Gary Fagner, and Scott Fagner. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Dementia Society of America, www.dementiasociety.org, or the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
