Wanda Sue Channon December 13, 1942 - March 10, 2015 Wanda Sue Channon of Moody passed away Tuesday evening surrounded by her loved ones. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Brother Reggie Blake and Brother Harley Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Itasca Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Sue was born December 13, 1942, in Marston, Missouri, to Wilbur and Alma Lewis. She graduated from Waco High School in 1961. She met and married the love of her life, Jimmy Channon. She retired from M&M Mars after 31 years. Sue was an inspiration to those around her because of her kind and compassionate heart. Her love for our God showed daily through her dedicated faith. Sue was a devoted mom and Nana. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all the activities they participated in. She was an avid reader, but more than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family. Sue was a longtime active member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Channon; sister, Kay Blankenship; and brother, Ron Lewis. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Casper and husband, Paul; son, Jimmie Channon and wife, Karen; daughter-by-heart, Jane Hale and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Jimmy Don Ayers, Ashley Casper, Cole and Case Channon; her brother, Mitch Lewis and wife, Dorothy; and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved. Pallbearers are Randy Hale, Steve Paul, Jimmy Don Ayers, Cole Channon, Case Channon and Corey Smith. Memorials may be made to Beacon Hill Baptist Church, 1912 Monte Vista, Waco 76711.
