Webster Spiller Breeding March 24, 1949 November 9, 2012 Webster Spiller Breeding passed away on November 9, 2012 after a valiant fight with an extremely aggressive disease. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 7, at Highland Park United Methodist Church Cox Chapel in Dallas, TX, with a reception to follow at the Perkins Natatorium, SMU campus. Webb was born March 24, 1949, in Waco, Texas to Jean Warner Epperson and Clinton Webster Breeding both deceased. He married Susan Peterson Katrana on July 5, 1991. His early years were spent hunting, fishing and exploring. Webb attended St Stephens, Austin and Thomas Jefferson High, Dallas, and graduated with Honors and a double major from SMU Cox School of Business. He was an SMU varsity athlete in both Football and the swimming trainer during which time the SMU Swim Team won three of SMU's 23 straight Southwest Conference Championships while ranking 5th in the country. Webb attended Ole Miss School of Law, was a Regional Director with Northwestern Mutual, American General and Nationwide Life Insurance companies and was a member of the American Amicable Million Dollar Round Table. He served as a Reserve Law Enforcement Officer with the McLennan County Sheriff's Dept., as a Captain for Citizens on Patrol, Benbrook Police Dept. and was a Regional Director of Lionheart Assurance Solutions selling Legal products. Webb's early years were spent hunting, fishing and exploring. He was a voracious reader, a lover of classical music, John Wayne and his Dallas Cowboys. His passion for Civil War History and Texas art made it come alive as he spoke of it. His excitement about WWII aircraft and his pride for its part in our very freedom culminated with his own flight in a B-17 bomber, a gift from his children. This B-17 was identical to the one his own father, Clint, a decorated WWII pilot, flew in 33 missions over Germany. Webb is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan; his two daughters, four adoring grandchildren; his brother, Bayard Breeding and sister, Leanna McCullough, and extensive family and friends.
