Weldon Rowan February 22, 1929 - April 16, 2012 Weldon Rowan of Granbury passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at his residence. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Howard Wayne Bright officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Weldon was born February 22, 1929 in Bellmead, Texas to Noble and Janice Rowan, Sr. He worked as a commercial artist, loved fishing and after retirement was a bus attendant for handicapped children at Granbury ISD. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Jean Rowan; and two sisters, Bobbie Cunningham and Janell Elmore. He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Rowan Kirkpatrick and husband, Glen, and sons, Michael Patrick Rowan and wife, Lynn, Weldon William Rowan and wife, Nancy and Robert Kevin Rowan, Sr. and wife, Pam; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; sister, Myrl Rowan Luper; and brother, Luther Ray Bright.
