Wesa G. Saunders July 2, 1907 - May 26, 2007 Wesa Saunders of Waco passed away Saturday, May 26, 2007. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.Wednesday, May 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Wesa was born July 2, 1907 in Rosenthal, TX to David M. and Mattie Griffis, attended schools there and Lorena, Waco High and Four C Business College. She worked at Barnes Lumber Co and Cameron Lumber Co, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco, a former member of the Forum Study Club and the Waco Business Women’s Organization. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wilson Alexander Alex Saunders. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Saunders Flatt and husband, Curtis of Farmers Branch, TX and her grandchildren: Lisa Huffman and husband, Keith; Darren Flatt and wife, Tina; and Logan Flatt and wife, Gabriela; and great-grandchildren, Kristen and Bradley Huffman; and Savannah and Andrew Flatt.
