Wilbur Owen Hansen May 6, 1924 September 9, 2012 Wilbur Owen Hansen of Robinson, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012, at the age of 88. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, Texas. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Will was born to A.E. Jake and Etha Hansen on May 6, 1924, in Levi, Texas. He graduated from Waco High in 1941 and served from 1944-1946 with the Army of Occupation in Germany. He worked at AO Smith and Estes Chemicals, but his true passion was farming and raising cattle. He was a member of the New Road Church of Christ and will be forever remembered as a devoted father, grandfather and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rebecca Hansen; and brother, Elwain Hansen. Will is survived by two daughters, Bronwyn Hansen and Rachael Deer; a son-in-law, Jimmy Deer; and grandson, Alex Deer, all of Dallas. He is also survived by his sister, Wanda Bradford of Abilene, Texas. Donations may be made in Will's memory to the American Cancer Society.
