William Berry November 16, 1953 - August 11, 2012 William Berry of Waco passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012, at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 17, in the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room with Rev. David Story officiating. William was born November 16, 1953, in Vincennes, Indiana to Virgil and Dorothy Berry. He was the youngest of nine children and attended South Knox High School. He married Melodie Ingram on December 23, 1977, at the First United Methodist Church in Bicknell. In 1981 he replanted his roots in Waco to raise his family. Bill enjoyed motorcycles, kayaking, tour bicycling, water gardening, and good old rock and roll. Toward the end of his life his creativity as a budding metal artist emerged. He was a sheet metal foreman for Mike Staas Services. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Virgil "Bud" Berry, Jr. and his father-in-law John Ingram. He is survived by one daughter, Nikki Roberts of Waco; two granddaughters, Emily Roberts and Abigail Johnson, his ex-wife, Melodie Berry; sisters, Peggy Miles, Nancy and Jack Shots, and Melinda Ingram.; brothers, Joe Berry, Dick and Virginia Berry, Dave and Patty Berry, Jim and Kay Berry, Ben and Linda Berry, John and Annette Ingram, Keith and Matte Ingram; mother-in-law, Shirley Ingram; sister-in-law, LaVerne Berry, and several close members of the family.
