William Bill L. Bidelspach November 7, 1927 - March 5, 2014 William Bill Leon Bidelspach of Waco passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, March 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Bill was born November 7, 1927, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Fred and Leona Bidelspach. He moved to Waco in 1934. He attended and graduated from Waco High School in 1946. He was a member of the only Waco High School State Championship football team to play in Cotton Bowl in 1945. Bill served in the Armed Forces in 1946-1947. He married Dorothy Jean Hardy in 1946, who was deceased in 1990. Bill attended Baylor University and was employed by Texas Farm Bureau in 1955 and retired as Vice President of Underwriting in 1988. In 1991, he married Alice Walker Yates. Bill was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waco. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy Jean Hardy; his step-son, Jimmy Yates, Jr.; and his brother, Fred A. Bidelspach, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Alice Walker Bidelspach of Waco; daughters, Lisa Bidelspach of Houston, and Lauri Goss and husband, David, of Waco; step-daughters, Sandra Hamblin and husband, Pierce, of Lexington, Kentucky, Kathy Curry of Troy and Alice Petrich and husband, Edward, of Waco; grandchildren, Ashlea, Sarah, Rachel, Walker, Rebekah, Laurin, Taylor, Allison, Haley and Grady; and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Laverne Posey of Houston; and nephew, Freddie Bidelspach of Seattle, Washington.
