William Bill C. Dosher

William ''Bill'' C. Dosher, 70, of Woodway, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at a local hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Services will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21 at Wilkirson-Hatch- Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow at Crawford Cemetery. Mr. Dosher was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Waco, Texas, to Bernard and Oneida Burks Dosher. He grew up in Waco where he graduated from Waco High School in 1951. He graduated from Baylor with a BBA in 1955. Bill served in the Army Reserves. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. he was a 33rd degree Mason, Past Potentate of Karem Shrine, and president of Cabiri. He was a member of the Historic Waco Foundation, Keep Waco Beautiful and Jesters of Texas. He was a member of Hedonia Club, and was president in 1964. Bill belonged to the Waco Association of Realtors, where he was Realtor of the Year in 1984 and president of the board in 1985. He was Region 8 vice president of the Texas Association of Realtors in 1991. He was president of the Waco Apartment Association and was on the board of trustees at Hillcrest Hospital. He was a member of Lisbon Investment Club. He worked as a realtor and property manager for more than 47 years. Bill will be remembered as a person who loved life. He was an avid collector of experiences, stories and things. He loved music, especially jazz. He played drums in several bands. He loved Christmas more than any other time of the year. He played Santa Claus at Christmas on the Brazos for several years in a row. He enjoyed making people laugh and he loved to hunt. He loved his family, including his dogs, and his many friends. He was very loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Dosher of Waco; daughters, Leea Rudisel and husband J.R. of Waco, Deann Chan and husband Jeff of Sacramento, Calif., Heather Kalisz and husband Aaron of Waco, and Katherine Dosher of Woodway; grandchildren, Mark, David, Noah, Christian, Cherylynn and Jillian all of Waco; sisters, Alpha Wiley of Waco, Nell Olzewski of Waco and Dorothy Dale Barr of Richmond, Texas. Pallbearers will be J.R. Rudisel, Mark Fabiszewski, David and Noah Lockwood, Aaron Kalisz, Jack Layne, Arlin Naegli and Bruce Primrose. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Waco Cabiri.
