William ''Bill'' C. Talbert, Jr.

October 17, 1921 — May 22, 2002

TALBERT, WILLIAM C. “BILL” William C. “Bill” Talbert, age 80, of Flower Mound, Texas, and former longtime resident of Houston, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at Medical Center of Lewisville. Services will be held 11:30a.m. Tuesday, May 28 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery. Bill was born October 17, 1921 in Waco to Will C. and Beatrice Scott Talbert. He served in the United States Navy during World War II serving in the South Pacific. He was a graduate of the University of Texas, receiving a mechanical Engineering Degree. Bill married Doris McGraw on May 4, 1957 in Houston. He worked in marketing and foreign sales in oil well equipment. He was employed with T. R.W. Mission Division and then by the Texsteam Brunswick Company. He was preceded in death by brother, Scott Talbert. He is survived by wife, Doris of Flower Mound; daughter, Beverly T. Talbert and husband, Victor F. Trautmann, III of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Victor F. Trautmann, IV and Stephanie M. Trautmann; sister, Vernell T. Cravens of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Honorary pallbearer is William S. “Bunny” Wright; active pallbearers will be William Lewis Cravens, Tom Scott Talbert, Jr., Winston Miles Talbert, Victor Franz Trautmann, III, Tom Scott Talbert, III and Matthew Alan Talbert. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the organization of donor’s choice. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville is in charge of arrangements. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
